Rapid Gelation

Rapid gelation is the process that allows us to make alcogels in the 23-30 seconds of zero-g on the KC-135A laboratory.  Rapid gelation is a patented process that allows for precise control over the gel time of a sol.  This allows application of aerogel to a number of manufacturing process, and for chemistry under unusual environments like zero-g and supercritical pressures.

Rapid gelation can be used to apply alcogel to microchips.
