Project Overview

Our project is to design an improved child safety seat for use in abulances to better accommate the needs of EMTs while treating injured children in transit. The seat must allow the patient to be easily reclined to a horizontal position so that emergency care can be properly administered.

Project Status

We have completed our prototype, and we have tested it. We have also completed our design report, and will be presenting the prototype soon.

3 September 22 Met with client again and began brainstorming
4 September 29 Continued developing ideas for the design
5 October 6 Finalized design and disscussed it with client
6 October 13 Prepared Mid-Semester Presentation
7 October 20 Began to gather materials for prototype
8 October 27 Made an overall plan for building prototype, and divided up tasks
9 November 3 Built prototype
10 November 10 Built prototype
11 November 17 Built prototype
12 November 24 Began working on final presentation and tested prototype
13 December 1 Tested Prototype further and completed and rehersed final presentation
14 December 8 Completed final design report and presented design
15 December 15
