Our project goal is to design an automated method for delivering six to eight different solutions to a patch clamp. Also, we will design a automated temperature controller that can read the solution temperature and change it quickly.
Our project team.
We have completed our device, and have presented it to our advisor and client. There are a few problems left that we are currently working on. When they are solved, the device will be implemented in the client’s lab.

| 2 | January 30 | We did some preliminary background research, and then met with our client and discussed the specifications for the project. |
| 3 | February 6 | We began to develop our PDS report, continued research and began brainstorming. |
| 4 | February 13 | We completed our PDS report and continued brainstroming. |
| 5 | February 20 | We met with our client and discussed the PDS and the overall design. |
| 6 | February 27 | We continued research and began evaluating possible designs. |
| 7 | March 5 | We prepared our presentation, and presented our problem and design. |
| 8 | March 12 | We wrote our mid-semester report detailing our design alternatives and our chosen design. |
| 9 | March 19 | We ordered the parts necessary for our preliminary testing, and searched for some of the less important parts. |
| 10 | March 26 | We met with our client and discussed the software being used in the system. |
| 11 | April 2 | We recieved the parts and began testing. |
| 12 | April 9 | We continued testing and began to determine the details of the assembly of the parts. |
| 13 | April 16 | We began to build the box which contains the system, and discussed the final presentation. |
| 14 | April 23 | We completed our constriction of the device, and prepared for our final presentation. |
| 15 | April 30 | We presented the design and device to our advisor and client, and we completed our final report. |
