Project Overview

To design a leg ergometer to be used by William Schrage in his research. The ergometer will allow subjects to maintain a constant kicking motion while their femoral artery is being imaged using an ultrasound. Using the information provided by the ergometer, Schrage will determine the blood flow in the leg during exercise.

Project Status

Assembly of the leg ergometer is complete. The resistance device with the servo motor and brake work to provide different levels of resistance. A sensor outputs kick rate to PowerLab. A force transducer and a new crank arm must be brought/made before the project can be delivered to the client.
