Project Overview

Hand hygiene is the single most important infection control intervention, yet health care provider compliance with proper techniques is largely inadequate. One area which leads to this noncompliance is in transitions from patient to computerized provider order entry systems. A device should be developed that ensures compliance without sacrificing productivity. It should be able to safely and efficiently integrate into any clinical setting.
