To find a process to prepare mouse bone for nanoindentation testing. Three factors must be looked at: The bone must be placed in a mold to make future work easier, the bone must be cut into 1mm sections, and the bone must have a smooth surface with variations less than 3um.
The nanoindentation project team has currently finished the designing stage of the design process. The eight member team has designed a process for putting the bone into a mold, cutting, and sanding the surface of the bone. This design team has also designed a device to hold the bone while sanding.
