Project Overview

This project is improving the hearing aid for the sensorineural hearing loss patient by using a digital signal processing (DSP) chips provided by the Texas Instruments (TI). This project is an opportunity to learn about an important instrumentation technology and to use it to implement a solution to a biomedical problem.

1 January 25 Background research, Assigning each team member role.
2 February 1 Searcing the application of DSP and finding some projects.
3 February 8 Team project will be audio processing for hearing aid.
4 February 15 Decision made for the specific chip
5 February 22 Contacting the TI and making final choise of the chip
6 February 29 Waiting for TI support, Background reseach
7 March 7 Preparation for the presentation. Research on FFT of sounds and also audio program
8 March 14 Presentation
9 March 21 Waiting to order a DSP development kit
10 March 28 Ordering a DSP development kit details + other component needed for platform
11 April 4 Cont. contacting TI : More detail on audio modificatioin algorism
12 April 11 Cont. contacting TI : Shifting gear to LabView programing
13 April 18 Continuing contacting the person in charge of DSP at TI , LabView audio hearing check
14 April 25 LabView + matlab programming
15 May 2 Final presentation preparation
