Project Overview

Patient bed transfers are performed many times a day in a hospital setting by nurses. The most common practiced process leaves nurses vulnerable to harmful strain in the lumbar region of the spine. Other devices that alleviate this problem are too cumbersome and inconvenient to use effectively. Our goal is to design and create a simple, easy access device to aid nurses in patient bed transfers.
