Project Overview

Our goal is to develop a defibrillator tester that is compact, cost-efficient, and accurate. It must be produced in quantities of 500 for less than four dollars per unit. Its required dimensions are less than 10.16 cm x 10.16 cm x 2.54 cm when stored. It must be able to test a power output of 300 J as a preliminary goal. A secondary goal would be to test 30 J of internal defibrillation. A superior design would be able to measure the power delivered in 20 ms. This tester will be used in developing countries across the globe.
