Restatement of team goals:

Find motor to use in the prototype
Begin construction of prototype
Begin formulating final paper and poster
Update PDS for final paper and poster

Accomplishments:

Decided to use lever for prototype rather than a motor
Finished construction of the lumbar roller prototype
Began working on final paper, poster, and presentation
Updated PDS for final report

Goals for next reporting period:

Finish final paper
Finish poster and presentation
Present prototype and poster in class on Friday
Meet with professor Gruben to discuss final paper and presentation

needed for these projects
Week 5: Complete draft of Mid-Semester report (start on speech)
Week 6: Give presentations and turn in reports
Week 7: Combine with large group and begin selection of final design
Week 8: Choose final design and split into smaller groups to work on different aspects of
the design
Week 9: Present final design options to client to determine final design and begin
working on finding materials for prototype.
Week 10: Chose final design with the aid of the client, split into small groups to begin details of the final design, research details of the final design
Week 11: Met in small groups (since class was cancelled), researched individually for prototype design, decided what needed to be done for class on friday
Week 12: Worked in small groups on individual aspects of the prototype, continued research for prototype construction, made plans for beginning construction of prototype
Week 13: Constructed prototype for the lumbar roller, began working on final paper, poster, and presentation

Difficulties thus far:

Finding time to meet to work on the final report, poster, and presentation with everyone's busy schedules.

Activities:

Individual work on paper/poster/presentation: ~ 2 hrs
Small group meetings: ~1.5 hrs
