If in Word, the PDFWriter toolbar button did not work, there are other methods of creating a PDF document. This method can also be used to convert other printable documents (e.g. Visio drawings) to PDF.

1. Use the Print command from your software and select the Adobe PDFWriter printer.
   
2. Select a file name and location. Afterwards, it will be as if the file was being printed--the file is being printed to PDF.
3. Check your file when PDFWriter is complete.

If you have problems with this method, try using Adobe Distiller.
