Problem Statement: To design a device that completes the manual process of preparing tissue samples for biochemical analysis. The device should freeze the tissue (with liquid nitrogen), grind it to a powder, and collect it for storage.
Current Status: Final presentations were on May 10, 2002 in the engineering lobby. This project will continue into Fall 2002. We will start next semester by deciding between pneumatic or motorized power and a manual or pressure- driven pump.
