Tissue Sample Preparation Device for Biochemical Analysis

Problem Statement: To design a device that completes the preparation process
done manually to prep a tissue sample for biochemical analysis. The device
should freeze the tissue (with liquid nitrogen), grind it to a powder, and
collect it in a vial.

Restatement of Team Goals:
1. Completed paper and presentation for Friday
2. Give presentation on Friday afternoon (1:00-2:00 time slot as requested by
client)

Summary of Accomplishments:
1. Presentation and Paper Completed Last Friday (Paper is attached just in
case you needed it Mark)

Team Goals for Next Week:
1. Work on the final design in more depth
a. divide into components and discuss what research/development
needs
to occur with each component.
b. How are all the components going to be able to work together in
one device

Project Schedule:
Week 1: Chose Project, Contacted Client.
Week 2: Meet with Client, Background Research
Week 3: PDS, Background Research
Week 4: Brainstorming, Finish up background research
Week 5: Initial Design Solutions
Week 6: Client Meeting, Develop Designs, Prepare grinding tests
Week 7: Testing, Paper and Presentation Preparations
Week 8: Presentation and Paper

Difficulties:
Ryan will be gone this Friday.

Activities:
Carla: 13.5 hours - group paper meetings, culminating everyones part into
the paper, presentation, website.
Christine: 10 hours - group paper meetings, developing the presentation,
individual paper work.
Ryan: 10 hours - group paper meetings, individual paper portion, prep for
presentation.
Sara: 12 hours - progress report, group paper meetings, individual paper
work, preparation for presentation.
