simulation used by hundreds of firefighters and firefighting agencies in
the U.S., Canada, Australia & New Zealand. It has improved graphics and
sounds and runs under Windows 98, 95 ,3.1 as well as DOS. Use 4 firecrews

affected by wind conditions and terrain. Cut fire lines and drop
retardant to contain the fire. Map contains various terrains, roads,
structures, lakes & rivers. A status bar keeps track of acres on fire,
acres burned, structures lost and simulation time. Wind can change
randomly or can be controlled. Registered version includes 4 maps and a

Wildfire
by
Cricket Software
With Wildfire-"The Urban/Wildland Interface Fire Simulation",
you command an engine, water tender and dozer to protect structures in up
to eight different terrains. Dispatch engine to the scene, and lay attack
hose. You control the nozzle on spray or stream, using water or foam.
You have a 500 gallon tank and that can go quickly, so watch your water
supply. Dispatch the water tender to refill your tank or use your
portable pump to refill from a nearby lake or stream. Dispatch the Dozer
tender to the fire, unload and drive the dozer to cut fire lines. Watch
for spot fires, they can jump your lines and cause havoc. Set back
fires, but watch for sudden wind changes. Some maps have hydrants to
refill tanks but on others you have to rely on water bodies. Wind
direction is selectable in eight different quadrants or all quadrants and
maximum wind speed can be set from ten to 60 KNTS. Includes on-line help,
realistic radio, engine and fire sounds.

gtBunny
by
Graham Minchin
(DISCLAIMER: Description written by the author, not
myself. All opinions expressed are those of Graham
Minchin and should not be construed to represent in
any way those of Ethan Brodsky ;-)
gtBunny is a DOS game that was inspired by a pleasant afternoon's
bunny bashing. It is one of the simplest games you'll ever play,
but I hope you'll find it entertaining for at least the first two
minutes. It does run on an 8086, but it's pretty slow. Windows
doesn't like it, there's some problem with DMA buffers (must have
something to do with Ethan's code!).
Three other things you might like to know:
- gtBunny isn't just freeware, it's
You'd-never-pay-money-for-this-ware
- Ethan doesn't approve - he likes rabbits. (I do too, but you
have to fry them quite a bit cos they smell. They taste like
chicken if you cook them properly and they have lots of bones.)
- You can shoot Michael Bolton too!
