Welcome to my home page.

I'm a dedicated freestyle whitewater kayaker. You may not be familiar with this style of kayaking, but if you can imagine a combination of wakeboarding, surfing, and kayaking you are pretty close to freestyle whitewater kayaking. As forgiving as a sport can be, kayakers roll over and do it again. No crashes, just splashes.

Enjoy!

Here is a little tribute to Monastery Falls on the Red River Near Gresham WI. Gresham is half way between Green Bay and Wausau on Hwy. 29. I've spent more time at this rapid then any other.

Blind River - Ottawa River Summer 03'

This is video my friend Brian Castillo, the boater that got me into the sport, and I shot on a trip to Ontario and Quebec.

We spent a month in Canada after graduating highschool. This trip is still the highlight of my life so far.

Terminal Surfer is a hole that's known as a "keeper." I'ts also one of the most fun wave holes around. Trashy enough to not give anything away, shallow enough to break boats, but most anything is possible. Midwestern Whitewater at its best. This is at about 1900 CFS.

Colorado Winter Break '03 - '04

A great trip all around! I love the mountains.

Mary Jane, Winter Park, Copper Mountain

Spring '04 Big Water in the Midwest
The black river is just off of interstate 94 on the way to minneapolis. This is the first river to break up in the spring. In this short it is running around 8400 cfs. Super pushy! There were small pieces of ice everywhere as the lake up stream was in the process of breaking up!

Black River Falls

May 1st '04 Presque Isle and Black U.P. Michigan
This was a superb weekend of paddling. Thanks to everyone who boated with us and a special thanks to Harry for putting us up in one amazing cabin in Wakefield. Creeking scares me, and I am young, so I don't feel like dyeing just yet. This is the only creeking on this page for just that reason.

UP Creeking

Ottawa River - August 2005

Alex Hanzlik-Green and I had an awesome trip with the best water levels I've ever seen on the Ottawa! Alex got some of his first flat spins, and I just had an amazingly good time! All smiles on this one.

Red River - October 2005

The red river is deffinatly my home in the wilderness. Last time I tryed to go check out the monastery, I got chased off by bull teriers. This time things went better, but its not me shooting the footage, those dogs scared me enough to keep me in my boat!

Way too much fun!

Paint River in the UP of Michigan is one of the most beautiful rivers anywhere!

Late in the year, the paint is a totally awesome river. It is running about 550 cfs in this video. The day before we paddled it at about 600!

Paint me up!

Mt. Bohemia, Haunted Valley. Badseed to cattrack to wooded traverse, to prospector

Winter break extravagance at its best.

Snowboarding in dense trees yay!
