What I do
NetWare Network Administrator:
I am the NetWare Administrator for the College of Engineering.
I oversee 14 NetWare file servers, a number of student labs running Windows 2000, and various Windows 2000
and Linux servers. I am also the departments DBA for the Oracle 8.1.7 server.
Freelance Writing:
In my spare time (what little I have), I do freelance writing for Network Computing Magazine. My articles are usually reviews of various networking products ranging from software metering to NetWare 4.11.
Free Software that I have written
- MRTGEXT
An NLM that allows for the retrieval of statistics from NetWare servers for
use with the MRTG program.
- ALOGIN32
An application to load balance our application servers
- ALoginSVC
An NT Service that acts as a helper for ALOGIN32 to improve its performance.
- LPRngInfo
A utility to monitor LPRng Print queues from NT.
- TrendNSS
A Plugin to the Netware Remote Manager for NetWare 6 to monitor NSS file system statistics
- TrendNDS
A Plugin to the NetWare Remote Manager for Netware 5.1/6 to monitor eDirectory 8.5 or later
- TrendNW
A Plugin to the NetWare Remote Manager for NetWare 5.1/6 to monitor various trends
