FBS, the inter-conference raids have begun again, and rumors of additional
raids coming |
| soon
are circulating.? The Big 10 has 12
teams and the Big 12 has 10 teams.? The
PAC 10 became |
| the
Pac 12.? Boise & TCU will, for this
year only, be in the same (Mtn W) conference. |

| Three non-Division
I football teams have disappeared.?
Lambuth merged into the U of Memphis. |
| Both
Nebraska-Omaha & St. Paul's had indications on their web sites that they
were going to |
| play this season,
but they will not be doing so -- probably victims of the Obama economy. |
|
| But new programs
started up, too.? FCS is now home to
Texas-San Antonio.? Will they have |
| big initial years
as some recent new FCS teams have had??
Division III gets Presentation and |
| Stevenson.? The NAIA will see new teams from Ave Maria,
Concordia MI, and Robert Morris IL |
| (the Chicago
campus).? Did you think I just made an
error?? Robert Morris can't be new,
right? |
| The new team
shares its name with the Robert Morris of PA (FCS), but the schools are
actually |
| unrelated.? They're just both named after the same U.S.
founding father. |
