Sports Illustrated Annual College Football Issues

The fifth weekly issue of Sports Illustrated was dated September 13, 1954. This was their first college football prediction issue. In alphabetical order, Herman Hickman selected these teams as his eleven best elevens of 1954. Their actual 1954 won-loss records follow. In all cases in this compilation, the won-loss records which follow each team are the actual records the team had that year and not the projected or predicted records by Sports Illustrated.
