Ken Ashby's College Football Rankings

AccuRatings are computer-calculated from game scores. Previous season and scoring margin count in prediction ratings, but are phased out by season's end in rankings. To figure the point spread, subtract the Prediction Ratings (PR) after adding four points to the home team. Add the Over/Under Ratings (OU) to predict total points. Offensive and defensive power rankings are also shown, plus final 2003 merit rankings (Prv) and Won-Lost records.

AccuRatings are: Adv/Hom/Mix/117

1. I re-iterate the calculations (including strength of schedule) to stabilization.
2. I use a combination of win/loss, average scoring margin, diminished scoring margin (aka, partial credit), generic home advantage, schedule strength, and previous season(s).
3. Both. My PR and OU values are purely predictive. My (merit) rankings begin as purely predictive and end as purely redictive, gradually transitioning throughout the season, as previous season and scoring margin are phased out.
