Steve Eck's College Football Ratings
My ratings system
factors in the strength of the opponent, location of game, pointspread
(minimum and maximum pointspreads are factored in). The final rating is
determined by taking a weighted average of the team's initial rating and the
strength of schedule. I also normalize each team's rating to a common number
of games to account for conference championships and preseason games.
I started the rating system back in the mid 80s when I was in high school.
It did not turn out too well then but I have made adjustments and it has
turned out much better.
