Freeze Ratings

The Freeze Ratings are computer-calculated based on comparitive scores against common opponents. Adjustment factors include: home field, diminishing returns for large victory margins, extra credit for close wins over highly-rated teams, reduced weighting for early-season games, and partial "reverse-credit" for upsets.

My preseason ratings are based solely on the polls and last years final ratings. They provide an early-season reference which makes my ratings more realistic. After about 5 games, the ratings are affected very little by the preseason values.
