The purpose of this course is to introduce and explore, in detail, recent developments and applications in digital image and video processing. This course is oriented towards graduate students seeking a "hands-on" exposure to advanced research areas in the field. Advanced image processing areas such as image restoration, compression and spatio-temporal image processing are discussed.

This web page is a source of important information regarding projects and miscellaneous course content for this course.  Enjoy!

* PROJECT HORATIO is Online! (warning wide-bandwidth page!).

* NEW INTELLIGENCE:

    A new version of the "block" sequence is available.
    Download new version from HORATIO web page.
    Previous version may contain frames distorted by the
    pgmmovie.m tool used in the generation of the frames.
    New version should be free of this distortion.  This
    should also fix the unusual behavior observed using
    "readpgm" on the block sequence.  4/8/98.
