 NEWS

12.08.2004

How'd we get to the end of the year so quick?

We had a fun time in Appleton playing for the fine folks at Tom's Garage, thanks to Clear Blue Betty for making the trip with us.

Next up is New Years Eve at the Crystal Corner. We're looking forward to a night filled with good friends and good music. After that we're taking a break from live shows for a few months so we can spend some time writing new songs and doing some recording.

09.22.2004

The Wickershams seem to have a problem with getting too close to the equipment. First Tracy takes off part of her thumb. Then Dave get's his finger's too close to the strings and ends up with this mess at the Willy St Fest.

Still, we had a great time playing the Willy St fest this year. How can you not love the WSF after all?

Here's a few tracks in case you missed it.

If you don't have plans for New Years Eve yet you might want to think about joining The Wickershams at the Crystal Corner. We'll try not to hurt ourselves.

06.02.2004

Tomorrow night. Mickey's. Be there.

It's free, the beer is cold and we'll be starting early. Sounds a lot better then shop-vacing the basement again.

05.19.2004

It's less then a month now until we take the stage at Mickey's for a free show with No River City. We'll have a special guest or two, and the show starts early so more folks can come out on a school night.

03.11.2004

Listen for Tracy and at least a few other Wickershams on WORT, 89.9fm on Friday, the 26th during Dave Zero's show.

In April Tracy will also be sharing the stage with Mr. Zero and the rest of MaeRae.

03.08.2004

We're pleased to find out that our song, "Where Dead Men Lay" will be featured as Track of the Day on Sunday March 14th over at GarageBand.com.

03.04.2004

Thanks to Cindy we've got some new photos!

See the Photos page for more.

Tracy's song "You're Just A Cloud" has taken second place in the Madison Songwriters Group Song Contest, in the Country/Americana category.

Of course we all already knew she's a great songwriter and guitar player.

 BIO

The Wickershams rock...but not too hard.

Founding members Tracy Koeller, Lead Vocalist, Song Writer, Lead Guitarist, and John Miller, Drummer, Lead Vocalist, brought The Wickershams to Madison, Wisconsin. The Wickershams were a long time power trio after the addition of bass player Tommy Jasmin, who cements The Wickersham foundation. The Wickersham's soulful lyrics and musical dynamics come from their roots Americana influences such as The Jayhawks, Paul Westerburg, Tom Waits and Wilco. These influences are easily reflected within The Wickersham's first CD called "Train on Time", which was recorded at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin.

A few years after the release of Train on Time, Tracy ventured to various venues in Nashville, Tennessee, but was reunited with The Wickershams in 1999. They were soon lucky enough to discover the melodic talents of violinist Angela Martin (fiddle player to The Wickershams). The recent addition of Dave Esmond's ingenious guitar playing, has completed the desired uniqueness and has enhanced the sound of what has been defined by their listeners as a choice of Insurgent, Americana, or Alt Country.

The group is currently working on their next CD, "The Ride", which is being recorded live, as preferred, in the attempt of capturing the charisma always offered at live shows or when just hanging out with the locals at the Corner Tavern.
