We provide the following services to CAE and Faculty/Staff of COE:

CAE Lab Maintenence
We are responsible for the setup and physical layout of all CAE labs. We also troubleshoot and repair any hardware failures for computers, network gear, printers, and chairs in all CAE Labs.

COE Network Engineering/Maintenence
We have designed the COE data network to be as robust and efficient as possible. When equipment fails, we are responsible for diagnosing and fixing the problems. When network upgrades are due, we make equipment changeovers during CAE downtime, usually late at night.

COE Network Datajack Activation
If you are a faculty member or guest of the College of Engineering, you may contact us to assist you in getting a physical connection to the COE network. We will activate a datajack in your area, and provide any additional hardware to accomodate your needs.

COE Ethernet/Power Cables
In addition to activating a datajack in your area, we will provide the necessary cabling for your specific local in the COE. Not all locations in the COE use the same cables to connect a computer/hub to the in-room datajacks. (see COE Network FAQ) We provide ethernet cables of 5', 10', 25', or custom length depending upon the need. Standard computer power cables provided free of charge.

COE Wireless Internet Access
The COE wireless network is a new addition to the engineering campus. We currently have 50+ wireless access points spread around the COE. CAE Hardware is responsible for installing new access points, and maintaining the current ones. Here is a coverage map for buildings in the COE.

Advice and Opinions
Available during regular business hours only, we will provide anyone who stops by in person with advice and opinions free of charge. We make no guarantees on the quality of the advice, or the bias of the opinions, but you are free to accept or reject either. Topics provided include: Operating Systems, Gaming Consoles, Music Artists, Chinese Take-out, Politics, and Religion.
