NEW EQUIPMENT IN OPERATION:

HELIUM LIQUEFIER ~ Set in place in our Lab on April 11, 2012:
  • Model 1610, built by Linde LLC, Tulsa, OK (S/N 10-0055)
  • Equipped with an integral, helium gas purifier

    Liquefier Capacity (with LN2 Precooling):
  • 58.3 Liters/Hour on Pure Helum with One RS Cpmpressor

    Liquefier Capacity (without LN2 Precooling):
  • 29 Liters/Hour on Pure Helum with One RS Cpmpressor

    Purifier Capacity (with LN2 Precooling):
  • Removes Impurities Totaling Up To 10%
  • 35 Liters/Hour on Recovered Helium

    Linde Recovery/Delivery Tubes (RDT) ~ two each
    Linde Transfer Lines ~ two each
    Linde Charcoal Absorber ~ one each

    ROTARY SCREW COMPRESSOR ~ (1 each) Set in place in our Lab on April 3, 2012:
  • RS Series, built by Linde LLC, of Tulsa, OK (S/N 10-0052)

    U.W. HELIUM TUBES (Ground Storage for Recovered and Pure Helium): ~ Received January 20, 2011:
  • 18 new 4000 psig ASME ground storage tubes (built by FIBA Technologies, Inc., Millbury, MA)
  • Maximum Length: 20 feet long
  • Outside Diameter: 24 inches
  • Tubes Stacked 3 high x 6 wide (with space for adding more tubes in the future)
  • Minimum Wall Thickness: 1.154 inches
  • Nominal Water Volume: 46.1 cu. ft./tube
  • Capacity - Recovered Helium in 12 Tubes @ 3,700 psig Operating Pressure: 124,800 scf @ 70 deg. F
  • Capacity - Pure Helium in 6 Tubes @ 3,000 psig Operating Pressure: 51,660 scf @ 70 deg. F

    LIQUID HELIUM DEWARS (Built by Cryofab):
  • 100 Liter Dewars ~ (4 each) Received May of 2011
  • 60 Liter Dewars ~ (4 each) Received June of 2011
  • 1000 Liter Dewar ~ (1 each) (To operate in conjunction with the new Linde Model 1610 Helium Liquefier.) Received July of 2011
  • 60 Liter Dewar ~ (1 each) Received November of 2013

    Flexible Fill Hose Assemblies, Cryofab Model CFHT (To operate with Cryofab 1,000 liter LHe dwar):
  • 96" Long Felx Section ~ (one each) Received July of 2011

    HELIUM TRAILER TRANSFER HOSE (Built by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics):
  • Style 8MDS6-3,500 psig, 1/2" ID x 15 ft., 316 Stainless Steel Core ~ (one each)

    LN2 DEWAR (Built by Taylor-Wharton):
  • Model XL-240, Low Pressure w/Pressure Builder, 240 Liter ~ (one each)

    Helium Recovery Bag for Main Recovery System, 1,300 ft.3 ~ (one each)



    NEW EQUIPMENT BEING INSTALLED:

    Helium Recovery C0mpressors ~ (3 each) Delivered October 27:
  • Model WP 4341 Air Cooled Compressor, being built by Sauer Compressors USA, Inc., of Stevensville, MD

    Rotory Screw Compressor (a backup for the Liquefier) ~ one each
