Name Badges:

Name badges are used as "tickets" for all JSEHS activities and identify you as a guest of the University. Badges must be worn at all times while you are on campus. Your name badge is your JSEHS Meal Ticket and is required for all meals at the J.F. Friedrick Center and University Residence Halls.

Tours:

Two tickets have been inserted into your name badge. If you would like to trade tickets with other students, feel free to do so. However, tours have a limited capacity and pre-assigned escorts, so please do not attend a site without a ticket.

Parking:

Free parking is available at the J.F. Friedrick Center. Obtain a parking pass from the reservation desk.

Alcohol:

Alcoholic beverages in any form ARE NOT permitted during JSEHS. In addition, the use of cigarettes, drugs, hallucinogens, or any other substances that are generally regarded to be detrimental is forbidden. The use or possession of any of these
items will result in the immediate return of the participant to his/her home at the expense of his/her parent.

Curfew:

The J.F. Friedrick Center requests that all students be in their rooms by 12:00 midnight, or earlier if required by the accompanying teacher. It is the responsibility of each teacher to supervise his/her students to ensure this request is enforced.

Evaluations:

Each participant is asked to complete the evaluation forms included in your packet and return them at the close of the final session on Friday evening.

Lodging Information and Directions

The J.F. Friedrick Center web site details the directions and accommodations.

Costs:

Schools or individuals are responsible for transportation and personal expenses. Meals from Thursday's lunch through the Friday Awards Banquet, and lodging for Thursday night, are provided for all out-of-town participants. In addition, those schools traveling more than 130 miles from Madison may request lodging for Wednesday or Friday night. Extra meals must be paid by the participants. We are not permitted to lodge Madison residents, but special arrangements permit such students to attend on a day trip basis. Please contact the Regional Director, (608) 265-9767, or by e-mail, jsehs@engr.wisc.edu, for information on these arrangements.
