hi. i'm katy huff and below is a bit about me. i'm a second year nuclear engineering ph.d. student at the university of wisconsin - madison beginning work with paul wilson on the geniusII project and an energy governance case study with WAGE. i am also the 2009-2010 treasurer of both the hacker within and the american nuclear society student section.

i can be contacted at khuff@cae.wisc.edu or in my office in ERB 434 and am generally free when my google calendar says so.

in terms of my research interests, i'm interested in the scientific pursuit of a safe, emissions-free, sustainable, high-output energy source. particularly, i am interested in the promise of a closed nuclear fuel cycle and investigations of waste reprocessing.

my education began in bellville, texas and continued at the texas academy of mathematics and science program during which i spent the summers of 2003 and 2004 in los alamos, new mexico with LANSCE-3. this was followed by undergraduate physics at the university of chicago. in the summer of 2006 i worked with el departamento de fisica at the university of chile, but otherwise, all my years and summers in chicago were spent working with a cmb experiment called quiet. if you are interested in such past projects please read my resume or check out the publications below.
