I study property-structure relationships in solids with emphasis on mechanical behavior. Interests include creep, creep-fatigue interaction, scale effects in plasticity and fracture, and corrosion.
A recurrent theme in my research is the development of nanoindentation methods for exploring deformation mechanisms at the micro-scale.
