Overview

The objective of ME 306 (Mechanics of Materials) are to cover the fundamentals of stress and strain calculations, and their transformations. Stresses and strains in engineering components such as beams, columns, torsional bars, pressure vessels will be analyzed.

Textbook: Mechanics of Materials, 5th Edition, Beer, Johnston, & DeWolf.

It is the responsibility of each student to ensure that his/her final exams are sufficiently spread out. It will be difficult to resolve conflicts at the end of the term.
