Welcome to Wei Xie's homepage at University of Wisconsin-Madison!

Short Biography:

Wei is a PhD student in the Materials Science Program since Fall 2009. He is working with Professor Dane Morgan on first-principles and thermodynamic modeling of actinide-transition metal alloys.

He obtained his B. Engr. degree in polymer materials and engineering in 2008 at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, where he worked with Professor Liqun Zhang for two years as an undergraduate research assistant. After that, he worked for one year as a research intern with Professor Lei Jiang in Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Born in Jiande, Zhejiang, he likes reading, meditation, and programming, among many others. He is married to Minjing Tao since 2009.
