Research/Work Interests
My research interests focus on Communication Systems and Signal Processing. Since I worked in VLSI/ASIC design area for a few years. I'm also interested in VLSI/ASIC design. Actually, I'm quite interested in the VLSI/ASIC or DSP implementation of communication/signal Processing algorithms. Other topics, such as computer network, image processing are also attempting. The following is some topics that I worked before or I'm interested in.
- Signal Estimation & Detection , DOA(Direction Of Arrival) , Space Time Coding, Channel Modeling, Smart Antenna, Beamforming, Propagation. --This is the area I worked for my MS thesis.
- Communication systems, Wireless Communcations, Multi-user detection, Turbo Coding, Viterbi Decoding -- My research before was largely in this area.
- Wireless Sensor Network -- This is quite attempting. It seems that this is quit hot recently. I'm thinking about doing some survey in this area and probably do some work in this area.
- VLSI/ASIC chip design -- prefer to connect it to communication systems or signal processing
- DSP(Digital Signal Processing), Embedded System--This is an area I worked for BS degree.
- Image Processing
- Wavelet transform -- Actually, I'm thinking about applying the wavelet to signal estimation/detection.
- Face Recognition -- working on a project in this area (Summer, 2005)

- Design a monitoring system to control data and voice signals over the telephone network with Visual Basic and specific voice chips
